Jessica Sanchez meeting with President of the Philippines unlikely

American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez, a national hero in the Philippines, will not meet President Benigno Aquino III when he makes an official visit to the United States in June, Philippine officials have announced.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Senate passed Senate Resolution No. 776 saying that "Jessica Sanchez should be congratulated and commended through this resolution for her personal feat that celebrates Filipino ancestry and echoes national pride."

Jessica is scheduled to sing the National Anthem of the United States on Sunday for PBS's National Memorial Day Concert at the U.S. Capitol.
