Jesse L. Martin cast in The CW's 'The Flash'

Following fellow Law & Order alum Benjamin Bratt, Jesse L. Martin has been cast in a new show. He will star alongside Grant Gustin in CW's new show, The Flash.

According to Deadline, Martin will play Detective West, an honest, blue-collar cop who is like a father father to to Barry Allen, aka Flash, portrayed by Gustin.

For nine years, Martin played Detective Ed Green on NBC's L&O.

In related news, instead of Flash having a backdoor pilot as a part of Arrow, it will have a regular pilot. I think this is a good move!

Congrats Jesse!
