Jesse Kinch sang 'Love Reign O'er Me' on Rising Star Finale on Sunday, August 24, 2014.

This was exactly the kind of song that he needed to be singing for this finale, in my opinion, as Jesse basically lets it all hang out on the stage, warts and all. If there's such a thing as a "leave-your-guts-and-soul-hanging-out rock ballad," this is it. For a moment, it's like he pretty much disappears into the song. It's a raw, passionate performance that leaves me feeling like Jesse has done literally every last thing he could possibly do to win this competition. If this can't get it done for him, he was never going to win it. Brad Paisley is on his feet before the performance is even over, giving Jesse a standing O. And I don't disagree with that motion one bit.
