Jerrod Niemann Releases 'Donkey' As New Single

Jerrod Niemann is not content to just divide opinion on one song of his, oh no. In the same week that he has announced a Pitbull remix of the polarizing single 'Drink To That All Night', Jerrod has also officially announced the news that we all knew was coming: that 'Donkey' is to be his next single.

He explains himself, "If you've ever heard any of the projects I've put out in the past, I always try to put something on there and attempt to make people smile," he said. "And in this case, 'Donkey' is that one." For those who are questioning his judgement, however (he does sing "ride that ass" in the second verse), he was a little reluctant too at first. "You have to be ready to rock, and the first time I heard 'Donkey', I laughed and then didn't listen to it for a few days, and then all of a sudden thought, 'Man, I'm gonna go listen to that song again,'" he muses. "I listened to it three or four times and thought if I don't record this, somebody's going to. And if anybody was really gonna ride a donkey to a bar, I feel like I would be the one to get that vote!"
