Jennifer Lopez denied role on 'The Voice' - Report
If this new report is anything to go by, Jennifer Lopez was trying to get on The Voice, but was rejected. This is hee-larious to me.
Apparently J.Lo offered her services to perform on The Voice finale this spring. The answer was, “No thanks.” She made a formal offer to be on the show and they said no. Making this even funnier, NBC actually confirmed that they declined Lopez's request! An insider further tells The New York Post that she also wanted to be a mentor or have a recurring role on The Voice but was denied that as well! The source said, “When you submit yourself to be a performer, the show can see how [the fans] and ratings react to your episode. But, they said no to both.
On Lopez's offer to perform on the finale, insiders aid, "It was simply a matter of timing. The producers love Jennifer Lopez and tried to make it work, but due to the show’s format it just didn’t allow for another solo performance. Cher was booked months in advance. There was only room left for someone to do duets [with the finalists]. But the genres were country and EDM [electronic dance music] — which did not seem like a natural pairing."
