Jennifer Hudson - New CD Drops September 30

Jennifer Hudson's new CD is coming out tomorrow. I listened to a sneak peak last week. After getting excited with the first two tracks: "Spotlight" and "If This Isn't Love", I was perplexed by the inclusion of the bomb "Pocketbook" -- whose lyrics included: "I'm gonna hit you with my pocketbook!" That was a jarring low point, but the rest of the tracks managed not to go any lower. I had high expectations for Jennifer's duet with Fantasia "I'm His Only Woman", and though decent, I'm a bit disappointed that the vocal melody given to Fantasia was not prominent like Jennifer's. So it was like Jennifer with this other woman singing, instead of both of them singing the main tune. Of course it is Jenifer's CD, but still.

So basically: the first 2 tracks are awesome, track #3 a bomb, and then the rest of the tracks are decent filler, not great. A must for Jennifer Hudson fans at the very least. (This is for Jennifer right here, this is for Jennifer!!! We love you baby!)
