Jennifer Hudson half-brother jailed for Attempted Murder

Steven Simpson, the half-brother of Jennifer Hudson, has been charged with home invasion and attempted murder in Paw Paw, Michigan.

TMZ reports that he stabbed a man multiple times in the face. The man was reportedly in a relationship with Simpson's estranged wife.

Sadly, this mirrors a tragedy in Jennifer Hudson life, when William Balfour murdered her mother, brother and nephew in a jealous rage in 2008. Balfour was the ex-boyfriend of JHud's sister Julia and went on the killing spree when he thought she received a gift from her new boyfriend.

So much death and violence in JHud's family. My thoughts go out to her.
