Jena Malone to Play Female Robin in 'Batman v Superman' - Report

Batman v Superman is rumored to be featuring a female version of Batman's perpetual sidekick Robin, who may be played by actress Jena Malone.

You most likely know her as the sass-tastic Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games franchise.

The recent report is courtesy of Detroit station Wilx-10 News, who spoke with one of the extras on the set.

"I’ve also learned that the character of Robin is now female," squealed the extra who is facing a fine of $5 million thanks to a non-disclosure agreement they signed.

The female Robin in question is character Carrie Kelly and her red hair is definitely in line with Malone's brand new ginger locks. Malone has also been spotted on the WB set, which lends credence to the claims.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit theatres on March 25, 2016.
