Jeanne Tripplehorn Joins 'Criminal Minds'

Jeanne Tripplehorn, most recently seen on Big Love and New Girl will join the cast of Criminal Minds this fall.

The actress will portray a new FBI profiler to offset the loss last season of Paget Brewster's character, Emily Prentiss.

"It's hard after Big Love," she said. "The writing was so good. The experience was so rich and so deep and over such a long period of time, I hope that I will have an experience like that again, but it may take a while. It was as gratifying an experience as I've ever had."

Tripplehorn played Barb Henrickson on Big Love, which ended its run last year. She also played the ex-wife of Dermot Mulroney's character on New Girl.
