Jaywalker mother faces years in jail after son dies, hit and run drunk driver only got 6 months!

She faces 3 to 4 years. The hit and run driver had been drinking, he was on pain medication, is partially blind in one eye, and had two prior conventions for hit and runs; he got 6 months.

The American legal is so weird ...and stories like these demonstrate why I could never be a lawyer.

Also, something even further to think about...just about 2 months ago PBS posted an article called Dangerous By Design ...which of course called out the design of some roads in Atlanta, and others like them, and how they are not pedestrian friendly.
