Jaymie De Boucherville sings 'Wonderwall' on The X Factor Australia 2014 (VIDEO)

Jaymie De Boucherville sang 'Yesterday' by Oasis on The X Factor Australia 2014 auditions.

Jaymie is a 21-year-old factory worker, but from his voice, you'd never know it. The kid has a beautiful, silky tone that sent the judges crazy. Judges Dannii Minogue, Ronan Keating, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, and Redfoo all give him a standing ovation that's well-earned.

I dig this performance, but then, I mostly love it any time someone performs the Ryan Adams version of the song. That's not to say that the Oasis original isn't great, but there's something darker and more mellifluous about the Adams version. I think Jaymie has serious potential to go deep into this competition. Or maybe he'll end up getting put in a boy band like Zayn Malik. Lord knows, he looks enough like him for it.
