Comedian, actor and writer Jay Leggett has passed away at the age of 50 after a massive heart-attack.
Leggett was out hunting deer all day when he died in his family's cabin in Wisconsin. His family members performed CPR after he collapsed but he was pronounced dead on the scene when paramedics arrived.
Said his close friend Susan Messing, "If he had to go, he couldn’t have gone in a better place."
"He was doing what he loved," added yet another acquaintance. "If there’s any comfort in his passing, that’s it. He was doing something he loved."
In addition to appearing on the popular '90s sketch comedy show In Living Color, Leggett also had a role in Ally McBeal as Harry Pippen, an overweight lawyer who had plans to leave his fiance for McBeal until she turned him down.
He was also a writer, having penned the 2004 film Employee of the Month.
