Jay James sings 'The Show Must Go On' on The X Factor UK 2014 (VIDEO)

Jay James sang 'The Show Must Go On' on The X Factor UK Live Show 5 on November 8, 2014.

This was fine. I mean, it wasn't a bad vocal at all. It was just a sort of middle-of-the-road performance. It never really went anywhere, and generally stayed in one gear the whole way through. I generally like Jay, and tend to enjoy some of the unique arrangements his performances put forward, but this was just a strange one. Why have it be a straight up version for 70% of the song just to have the drum track kick in when the song is virtually over? If you're going to change up the arrangement like that, or add to it, then it should probably be something that's incorporated far sooner than this was. I don't expect Jay will be in trouble, but I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed, considering that the MJ vs. Queen theme should have been a blowaway for him.

But what do you think of Jay James?
