Jaume Collet-Serra to direct 'Akira' live-action film

Oh no! The live-action version of Akira is back on again. Warner Bros. has tapped Jaume Collet-Serra to direct it, after the original director left and the project was halted.

THR reports that Steve Kloves who adapted the Harry Potter movies has written the most recent draft of the screenplay.

Collet-Serra's directing credits include House of Wax, Goal II: Living the Dream, Orphan and Unknown.

I am assuming that this new team is dropping the whole change Tetsuo to Travis and let him be played by that f%#kin guy from Twilight idea.
