Jason Ritter to Return to 'Parenthood'

Great news for fans of Parenthood! The series, not the actual, ya know, thing.

Jason Ritter is reportedly returning to the NBC series for at least one episode.

TVLine reports that the actor will be able to reprise his role as Mark Cyr in the upcoming fifth season.

Ritter will reappear in Episode 19, slated to air on April 24, when Mark has a chance encounter with one of the show’s characters (not necessarily Sarah, although — come on — their paths will undoubtedly cross).

As of now, Ritter is on board for just one episode.

Lorelai Gilmore prevails!

Jason was originally slated to star in the FOX sitcom Us & Them until the network canceled production on the series. He was meant to star alongside Alexis Bledel AKA Rory Gilmore.

I was happy to meet Jason at the FOX Fanfronts event earlier this year and he was incredibly sweet and gracious. I'm happy to see him back on Parenthood!
