Jason Aldean Breaks George Strait Record
Jason Aldean has broken George Strait's record for the all-time attendance record at Cheyenne's Frontier Days in Wyoming.
So far, 24,457 tickets have been sold for what will be the largest concert ever in the state. It comes as an apt celebration for the 8-year anniversary of Jason Aldean's self-titled debut album, which produced singles like 'Hicktown', 'Amarillo Sky', and the #1 'Why'.
Jason said of the news: “It’s such an unbelievable thing to even have your name uttered in the same breath as a guy like that. Strait is probably the best country singer of the last century in my opinion. I can only hope for a career that lasts half as long as his…there is still no one cooler than King George!”
I am not Jason's biggest fan, but he's clearly doing something right to continue to sell so many tickets, and his respect for George Strait can't go amiss. I'm sure this won't be the last record we see him break!
