Jared Padalecki Calls Philip Seymour Hoffman's Death 'Stupid'

While Hollywood was awash in remembrances of Philip Seymour Hoffman last night (Feb. 2) Supernatural star Jared Padalecki was busy calling his death both "stupid" and "senseless."

As he wrote in his now-deleted tweet on the subject of the late actor a mere hours after his death:

He would later go on to add, back-tracking yet not apologizing all the way:

Which is why it's important that Hoffman's "senseless" death open up a dialogue about the dangers of addiction, which Jared seems to think is a choice.

You know, rather than a deadly, life-threatening disease and mental illness.

Sadly, this comment will probably anger less people than the one Padalecki made previously about Justin Bieber's recent raid, which had fans of the pop sensation threatening to boycott Supernatural.

Stay classy Jared Padalecki. And by stay classy we mean you should probably keep these things to yourself.
