VIDEO: James Franco Calls His Nude Selfie a Britney Spears Moment

James Franco finally decided to explain the reasoning behind the nude selfie he took, but he did it with the most James Franco explanation possible.

While on the Late Show with David Letterman last night (May 8) Franco admitted that he posted the photo to the Instagram for his fans.

As he "explained" to Dave, "Like that Britney Spears shaved head moment, where it's sort of like, 'All right, you want me? Here you can have me, but I am going to be really ugly.' You know what I mean?"

"It's what the people want!"

The audience laughed at this excuse, but of course James Franco being James Franco said he was totally 100% serious.
