James Franco has done it all: learning, teaching, house flipping, acting, singing, dancing, writing, painting, Grand Marshal-ling the Dayton 500 and now he's set his sites on Broadway where he will be playing George in the adaptation of John Steinbeck's novel Of Mice and Men.

The play will also see Irish actor Chris O'Dowd as the lumbering and simple rabbit-loving Lennie as the men struggle to find work in California in the midst of the Great Depression.

"I am going to do a play on Broadway," Franco revealed at Live Talks with James Franco at the Aero Theatre (via Us Weekly). "I am going to do Of Mice And Men with Chris O' Dowd, directed by this amazing director, Anna Shapiro, who won a Tony for the stage version of August: Osage County. So that will be my Broadway debut."

The next logical step is of course James Franco: brain surgeon so we can't wait to see how that goes.

Or you know, since the publication of his book Actors Anonymous he's been thinking about becoming a playwright. "I have this idea, I haven't been able to figure it out yet I've done little versions of it, but I wanted to do a dramatic version of Three's Company. Those characters, the way it's so dated, and somehow, make it a drama. So, that's what I'd like to do.

"I know somebody's gonna steal that idea, but I get to meet with the Three's Company people so you don't have the rights to."

We think he should call it: The Best-Laid Schemes O' James Franco.
