James Durbin: 'I've done so much stuff that's never been done on American Idol before'

James Durbin wants everyone to 'give metal a chance!' Ummm, didn't metal have it's chance already? It was pretty big. In fact, The Big 4: Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax are still kicking butt. What is James Durbin talking about?

He also said that he's 'done so much stuff that's never been done on the show before.' Does he mean the gimmicks? Am I supposed to be impressed by that?

I have to be honest, I don't know what James and his roommate Stefano Langone have been drinking in the Idol mansion over the past couple of months, but now that they are both eliminated, they are coming across as quite delusional. These two guys are probably the most delusional duo to ever come out of of Idol. The crashing back to reality isn't going to be pretty for these two.

James couldn't even hold it together in his swan song.

Update: I don't hate James or Stefano -- I'm just upset that the show is not preparing them properly for what is to come. I've been through this year after year. The show makes these contestants believe they are they greatest thing since sliced bread. Some of them believe it, some don't. It really looks like James and Stefano ate the entire cake. I just want them to be realistic because they will have a better chance of success as they are able to plan their careers accordingly.
