Jai Waetford - The Only Exception - The X Factor Australia Grand Final 2013 - Video

Jai Waetford sang “The Only Exception” on The X Factor Australia 2013 Grand Final.

You know, from the audition rounds, I sort of accepted that Jai would make the final. But I never really, seriously considered that he would actually win this thing. But this is the first performance has me honestly seeing the possibility. This might have been his best performance, even though it wasn't his best vocal. It was just such a strangely captivating performance, from the restraint of his vocal at the beginning, to his clear emotional connection with the song itself. Even if he doesn't win, this performance is likely the difference between finishing second and finishing third.
