Be still our beating Elvish hearts, author J.R.R. Tolkien -- the man who made us want to go to Middle-earth when we die -- is getting his own biopic.

The project is being developed by Fox Searchlight, who has been tasked with making a movie about the man who gave the world Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and inspired us to love all things epic fantasy.

Said film will focus on key-elements in his life, including what led him to write his children's book and trilogy about how Hobbits and adventures go hand-in-hand.

It will most likely also chronicle his war efforts as a soldier in WWI, code-breaker in WWII and friendship with fellow author C.S. Lewis.

Please don't mess this one up! We don't want to have to break out any "fool of a Took" jokes.
