Is American Idol Rigged? - Poll Results

Wow, such little faith my readers! Yes wins. You guys think that American Idol is rigged. But what happened to the argument that Kris Allen won because of power-voting in Arkansas even if Adam Lambert was supposedly more popular? Whichever is more convenient then huh?

Personally, yes, I do think that since American Idol contestants are cast for the most part via "type" rather than talent, there is clearly a fair share of rigging. However, I do believe that whoever wins is indeed the most popular at that point in their careers -- and therefore had the most votes. It is proven however that winning Idol does not guarantee success. Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks for example are no longer as popular as they once were.
