Iron Man Tries to Lift Thor's Hammer in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Clip (VIDEO)

Marvel had originally intended to premiere the official trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron during last night's episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. But once it leaked early last week, Marvel felt they had no choice but to release the full trailer themselves. However, Marvel still planned on creating a buzz for the fledgling ABC series by debuting an exclusive scene from Avengers: Age of Ultron on the show.

The following scene, which premiered after last night's solid episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, centers on the question of worthiness: Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) tries to prove that Iron Man is worthy to rule Asgard by attempting to lift Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. And he's not the only one to attempt this Sword In the Stone challenge, as Iron Patriot (Don Cheadle) and even Captain America (Chris Evans) try to get in on it. However, the lighthearted mood quickly turns dark once a nightmarish new threat appears. It's an entertaining scene that really sets a foreboding tone for the sequel. May 1, 2015 can't come soon enough.

Check out the full scene (which concludes with a re-airing of the official trailer) below:
