Disney has pushed back the U.K. premiere of Iron Man 3 by a day, as the funeral for former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher falls on the same day as the mega-blockbuster's original UK release date, April 17.
The film will now premiere on April 18. This will allow patrons to avoid "the anticipated fallout" from the memorial service for the late prime minister, as the event will include a lengthy procession from the Houses of Parliament in central London to St Paul's Cathedral.
Thatcher, the first and only woman to lead the U.K. government to date, died of a stroke earlier this week at age 87.
