iPhone 6 Major Design Flaw: It Bends In Your Pocket Easily (VIDEO)
Users of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have discovered a major design flaw in Apple's new device: it bends by simply being in your pocket.
Owners of the phone are reporting that their phones are bending inside their pockets while sitting down. NBC News notes that many phones have bent before, iPhone and Android alike, but not in the epidemic proportions being seen on the Internet this week.
Unbox Therapy has posted a video of an iPhone 6 being bent easily using only your bare hands. There is a weakness in the material Apple used around the volume buttons.
Oh thank goodness I'm not one of the 10 million people who bought an iPhone over the weekend. This is such a major defect and I will wait until this is fixed in a couple of years. (Apple will have to redesign and send it to the manufacturer and that process takes years.)
Meanwhile, they will have to spend hundreds of millions on advertising telling people they are using the device wrong while they fix an obvious problem. I think they tried to cut corners using cheap material -- and this is what they got. They already copied the Samsung Galaxy Note and other large screen phones from Android, and now they can't even get that right.
Apple should have stuck to the old smaller design. That was perfect.
