Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have caught a whole lot of flack in the media for naming their newborn daughter "North West." But the new parents apparently had a particular reason for the name choice. A non-directional reason.
An insider close to the couple has explained that the name is more "inspirational than directional," and is meant to represent new heights, with Kardashian and West allegedly declaring, "What's North of North? Nothing." The insider goes on to elaborate that the "duo believes North is their highest point together as a couple" and that little Nori represents a "North Star" for them.
North West was born on June 15, three weeks ahead of her due date. She is the first child for Kardashian and West, who have been dating since 2012.
