'Inside Amy Schumer' renewed for a second season

Comedy Central has a reputation for giving half-hour shows to just about any comic that comes into their studio. This high volume of output means that, ultimately, not a whole lot of these series tend to pan out...except, you know, when they do.
The network has renewed its latest half-hour venture, Inside Amy Schumer, starring former Last Comic Standing finalist and Comedy Central Roast panelists Amy Schumer. The series, which the sketch comedy series that also features on-the-street and one-on-one interview segments, has been picked up for a ten-episode second season.
Inside Amy Schumer is Comedy Central's highest-rated series premiere for the year so far, so the renewal comes as no big surprise, particularly since the network is high on sketch comedy series, as they tend to rate pretty well among audiences (Key & Peele is one of the best series the show has, at the moment). It helps that the show is actually pretty funny, at times. Not uproarious or anything, but certainly better than one might expect, going in.
This renewal joins other Comedy Central 2013 renewals Nathan For You, The Jeselnik Offensive and Kroll Show.
