iMac G5 20" w/ SuperDrive

I installed some extra memory, which was so easy. I'm totally impressed with the design of this thing. Just unscrew three screws (which don't pop out and are attached to the base) and you can remove the back cover quite easily.

Since the iBook in particular is a nightmare to disassemble (necessary for accessing the HD), I wouldn't say that Apple is the best at designing hardware, but the iMac is a gem. (I also give high praise to Dell's desktop designs -- all screwless -- which are a joy to work with).

At any rate, I'm a little nervous since I've taken a big step in doing whatever I think I'm about to do in the next few weeks. I'm still waiting for my EyeTV unit to arrive so I can grab some video from the cable box and do some video editing.
