The pair were on The Graham Norton Show when the host asked the audience if they have any flirty texts.

A women volunteered up her phone with a message from an English man which reads in part, "Hey stranger. Sorry I've been so absent. Something came up and then I ran away to Scotland for Christmas."

Lena Dunham has the host respond to him, "I'm slightly unimpressed by your manoeuvres. Try again," because the audience member can "do better."

To which Idris Elba helpfully adds, "Here's a picture of my boyfriend!" and then poses for a snap.

Perfection.
