TVLine's American Idol expert Michael Slezak is back with Season Six finalist Melinda Doolittle for a new episode of Idology.

This week, Michael and Melinda discuss the producers' infuriating need to micromanage every single detail of the competition, which results in the contestants being prevented from delivering the best possible version of themselves, as artists. In addition, the team discusses Top 3 Week, and what went wrong with Angie's run, which at one point seemed unstoppable. Also, the glorious exit of Randy Jackson does not go unaddressed.
