Is it over for the guys this year? And how can America help Lazaro Arbos? Check out the full video below:

Thoughts:

It's hard not to agree with their assessment of Lazaro. It's not even that he's a bad singer or anything, but of the eight remaining finalists, he's the only one who truly feels like he doesn't belong. Even Janelle seems like a more natural fit at this stage of the competition than he does. Maybe it's a byproduct of the damage his confidence has taken over the course of the last several weeks, but even then, not everyone gets perfect reviews every week.

Lazaro strikes me as a contestant who's never gotten any real constructive criticism, since the poignancy of his story has essentially cut any and all criticism off at the pass. I liken it to how former X Factor USA finalist Drew Ryniewicz mentioned that she'd never gotten a bad review of one of her performances before doing the show. Fast-forward several weeks later, as she's eliminated from the competition, collapsing into a puddle of tears because she'd been given to understand that the competition was hers to lose. The next week, Rachel Crowe would react the same way to her own ouster. And one season later, it's Beatrice Miller who would fall apart.

When you go through your whole life without hearing any negative, or even just constructive, critique of your talent, you never really learn how to take it later. Hence, the tears. It just has me wondering if Lazaro is cut out for this competition. As an example, Haley Reinhart got ripped to shreds every other week by the judges. But she didn't cry, she went out there and ripped the stage week-in and week-out to prove she deserved to be there. Hopefully Lazaro can do the same. But if not, he really should be sent packing, because it'll get worse before it gets better.

What do you think? Is it Lazaro's time to go? Are the guys really THAT bad at emoting? Sound off in the comments!
