Hunter Hayes Sets Guinness World Record For 24 Hour Road Race
Hunter Hayes broke the Guinness World Record for most shows played in a 24 hour period on Friday, performing 10 shows in 10 cities. The record was previously held by The Flaming Lips, who had played 8 shows in 24 hours. Hunter embarked on beating the record to help promote his sophomore album Storyline (which hit stores last week), but to also help raise awareness for child hunger by teaming up with ConAgra Foods.
Hunter kicked things off with a performance in Times Square for Good Morning America and followed this up with a tour around the North East, playing Boston (MA), Worcester (MA) Providence (RI), New London (CT), New Haven (CT), Stamford (CT), South Orange (NJ), Asbury Park (NJ) and finally Philadelphia (PA). His opening acts included Dan + Shay, Charlie Worsham and other up-and-coming country bands and songwriters.
Congrats to Hunter and all involved! That's some achievement, and especially for child hunger.
