Hunter Hayes Scores Platinum Album and Single

Hunter Hayes has scored both a platinum album and a platinum single in the same week.

The RIAA certified Hunter Hayes for 1,000,000 shipments, in addition to Hunter's latest single 'I Want Crazy' reaching the same status. The song is currently #2 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs, just behind the monster that is Florida Georgia Line's 'Cruise'.

Hunter recently released an Encore (deluxe) version of his self-titled debut album, which 'I Want Crazy' is featured on, rocketing the album back to the top of Billboard's country album chart. He is also set to headline CMT On Tour: Hunter Hayes' Let's Be Crazy Tour this fall.

If 'Cruise' lets go of its hold on the top spot in the next few weeks, there's a distinct possibility 'I Want Crazy' could take its place and finally reach #1, but we shall have to wait and see.
