Lionsgate Is Hearing Offers for 'Hunger Games' Theme Parks

Due to the success of The Hunger Games franchise, Lionsgate is considering turning the series into a theme park.
Nope, that doesn't sound disturbing at all.
"We have been approached in two different territories about potential theme park opportunities, which gives you a sense of the cultural impact of this franchise," Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer announced in a conference call.
"We are excited about those opportunities and are pursuing them."
Something which may become even more likely as the sequel Catching Fire is currently tracking very well.
Added Feltheimer in the call, "We are confident that we have positioned Catching Fire as a global phenomenon to continue the growth of the franchise."
We can see it now, park attendees are culled at random and then sent to fight each other to the death for the amusement of everyone else and to further line Lionsgate's pockets. Just as the book's author intended. Oh, wait.
