Hugh Laurie Joins 'Veep' Season 4

Hugh Laurie is headed to Veep!

The House star is joining the cast of the Emmy-winning HBO comedy for Season 4. Although details are unknown about Laurie's role, I would assume it's going to be a fairly big one, considering that the show is getting Hugh Laurie to play it. Perhaps he'll become the new Veep? After all...

SEASON THREE SPOILER WARNING!

...season three left off with Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) ascending to the presidency in the wake of the former president's resignation. So that leaves a VP vacancy that needs filling.

That said, I also wouldn't mind seeing Laurie playing a British Prime Minister. He doesn't get to use his lovely native accent nearly enough in his roles.

Either way, I'm pretty anxious to see where the show is headed, now that Selina's in charge (for the time being, anyway).

Veep returns for Season 4 this Spring on HBO.
