Hugh Jackman Almost Castrated Himself + Is Done With Wolverine

Hugh Jackman is pretty much done playing the Wolverine, and not just because he almost castrated himself once with his metal claws.

"I’m excited to see what we can come up with, but I haven’t signed on signed on," Jackman said of another film as Logan. "I’m genuinely at that point where unless it’s better than the last one I’m not going to do it."

"I can still see where we can improve on the last one. I don’t want to get into specifics, because it just upsets people, but there are certain parts of that story where I felt we were predictable. And I don’t think you need to do that with Wolverine."

Which is sad because we're going to miss stories like this one, where Jackman recalls that time he almost chopped off his genitals while filming a nude scene with his infamous adamantium claws during The Wolverine's naked fight scene.

As he recalled, "There was a very intense first scene and I insisted on a closed set. I ran round the corner and all the female members of the crew were gathered there. I tried to cover myself and cut my inner thigh – it was just the inner thigh thankfully!"

"The metal claws had to go – you can’t have bits and pieces flying off."
