House of Lies - Season 2 Episode 3 - Recap - Man-Date
Here’s the recap for Season 2 Episode 3 of House of Lies: “Man-Date” on Showtime!
Against all odds Marty (Don Cheadle) and Clyde (Ben Schwartz) set out to capture the business of the new "King of Vegas" Michael Carlson (Mather Zickle). Carlson "notoriously hates outsiders, analysts (and) consultants," so the team conjures up a plan to creatively cross paths with him. That's where the "douchebag" Dushkin twins (Evan Hart, Taylor Hart) step in... to provide the connection.

In case you forgot, Jeannie (Kristen Bell) is still out to put a target on Tamara (Nia Long) because she can't understand how she is still part of the team after her major failure of losing the Pincus account. Jeannie is still motivated to keep all other females on staff as far away from success as possible so she can remain on top. Jeannie invites Tamara to the spa for a girls day and some prying into her past. The girls banter back and forth condescendingly about their current and past relationships with Marty, while Tamara makes it clear that Jeannie should not feel threatened by her.
Meanwhile, Marty's ex-wife and mother of his son, Monica (Dawn Olivieri), is back home in LA experimenting with her lesbian side. After returning from a date gone horribly wrong, Monica comes home to her overly caring vegan chef, Tessa (Ronete Levenson). As Tessa leaned over Monica to finish cleaning, Monica leaned in for a kiss.

Obviously the Dushkin twins are the best sex-crazy party animal hosts that Marty and Ben could dream of... so they spend the night getting rowdy in their club and banging girls side-by-side. Better yet, Ben was lucky enough to get it on in his full suit. Over a much needed hangover brunch, Marty and Ben have a dialogue back and forth, almost like a "good cop, bad cop," routine that gets the Dushkin boys to start asking questions. Marty proposes that the dynamic nightlife in Vegas will only allow for their club to be relevant for a couple of years (if that!) so they need to consider branding themselves. After Marty breaks them down and the brothers, "drink the kool-aid," they agree to the idea. Ben then plants the seed about their consulting conquest with Carlson. In order for the Galweather team to land Carlson they need a revolutionary concept that can hold his attention. They hook the Dushkin twins with the idea of a social gaming platform that will change the landscape of the gaming industry. With that, the brothers agree to get the whole team a meeting with Carlson.

Carlson obviously has too much money and success for his own good, so he shows no entusiasm to meet the scum that come from the consulting world. While trying to give a formal presentation the team is only able to get in three words edgewise. Carlson's A.D.D. didn't give the team a chance to pitch their concept. Even with minimal explanation Carlson agrees to give them the opportunity to expand his empire with their social gaming platform.

And in things you didn't want to know or see, Doug (Josh Lawson) has been staying under the radar at the casino because of his troubled past but he couldn't stay out of trouble for long. After a first soothing massage ended very happily with a prostate rub down, Doug went back for more. Only this time the masseuse wasn't up for it and Doug found himself tackled by security.
