'Homeland' Adds Corey Stoll and Laila Robins for Season 4
Showtime is gearing up for Homeland Season 4 by adding two extremely talented actors to its cast.
House of Cards alum Corey Stoll will join the cast as Sandy Bachman, "the CIA chief of station in Pakistan who’s a rising star within the agency." Joining him for Season 4 will be American theater star Laila Robins, who has been cast in a series regular role of Martha Boyd, the U.S. ambassador to Pakistan who is described as “professional and put together, with a ship-to-ship voice and the personality to match.”
The upcoming fourth season of the Emmy-nominated Showtime drama sees Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) returning to the Middle East as chief of station. Production on the new season begins later this month in South Africa, with the season premiering this fall. It's early still, but it's already shaping up to match last season, if not surpass it, now that so much of the excess story has been sent to the chopping block.
