'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' Tops List of Most Pirated Films of 2013

The Hobbit franchise isn't just No. 1 at the box office. It's No. 1 on computers worldwide, apparently.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey came out on top on TorrentFreak’s annual list of the year's most pirated movies, having been downloaded over eight million times in 2013.

Yet while The Hobbit was the victor, it wasn't a complete blow-out, as Django Unchained proved to be formidable competition. Quentin Tarantino's epic was downloaded roughly 8.1 million times, just 300,000 downloads less than The Hobbit. The high placement for box office blockbusters didn't stop there either, as Fast and Furious 6 and Iron Man 3 took the No. 3 and No. 4 spots, respectively. But not every film on the list was a big action movie, as Silver Linings Playbook completed the top 5.
