Hill Country Birthday

The best thing about my coach is that we share the same birthday. How fascinating is that? Crazy how lives intersect across time, places and mutual friends, and you discover things like that. I had dinner with Juan at Hill Country last night, along with my good friend Carina, to celebrate our birthday over some ribs and pork chops.

Of course, having the same birthday with Juan was topped yet again by Carina's "same birthday story" which she shared last night: Not only did she meet someone with the same birthday -- it was on the same year -- and they had the same name! LOL Carina taught me that no matter how good or bad you think your life is, someone is bound to have it better or worse. She normally shares a her own horrible life experience to top my own horrible life experience in order to make me feel better -- so I'm happy that she had a betterer birthday story. But I digress...

Life Coach! After listening to my boring story about how I excited I was about 2011 and my blog -- Juan told me that I had "so much potential" and that I am doing things many people dream of: no boss, own hours, doing the thing you love, etc. Looking back now, I think a lot of people have already told me this, but somehow Juan was able to drive home the point to me that what I am doing is really awesome. It must have been the shared birthday thing. I guess it felt really great to see someone as excited as I was about my blog -- so I've taken Juan as my new life coach as I blaze through 2011. I believe!

Finally, I also discovered yesterday that I share the same birthday with SIRPAUL and Hayao Miyazaki, director of Spirited Away.

Thanks to everyone who remembered my birthday yesterday, it was fun!
