Heroes - Strange Attractors - Recap

No Peter Petrelli tonight.

The one thing that I liked about tonight's episode was how the writers finally acknowledged the stupidity of Parkman's character. They just wrote it in and it was great. It was a welcome reversal of trying to make Parkman a "hero" (after failing for 4 years) and made Sylar's character shine.

I see the current Sylar-is-inside-Parkman storyline a bit like Wile E. Coyote vs. Road Runner, except that Parkman is not likable like Wile E.
When Parkman thought he could defeat Sylar with alcohol of all things -- I was just shaking my head in disbelief. What an idiot.

I think I will grow to like this Parkman-centric plot finally since the writers are giving us what we want which is for Sylar to succeed. The only problem is Matt Grunberg who plays Parkman is not a good actor, and we will have to suffer through his "I am Sylar" affectations in the future.

In the other stories tonight, Claire survives the sorority initiation and discovers that the invisible girl from the carnival is out to kill her. Her sorority initiates also discover her healing ability in the slaughter house.

HRG and Tracy Strauss try to get the healing boy out of jail, but fail. Healing boy is murdered in the end and Samuel avenges his death. Question: What is Samuel's power anyway? Telekinesis? What's up with the ink?

I'm still bummed that there is a lot of focus now on secondary characters like the healing boy and the deaf girl, but this seems to be a writing device to get the main characters to do things. I'm not a big fan of this. I want to the stories to revolve around the main characters not around a secondary character who gets killed off after two episodes.

Oh and next week Glee's Emma Pillsbury returns as Hiro Nakamura's girlfriend. She gets killed off too.
