Heroes - Into Asylum

Heroes "Into Asylum"
Tonight's episode was uneven in parts -- there's really not much you can do with the overall arc at this point, but I really liked it.
Definitely, a turn in the right direction -- and after watching, I felt what I have not felt in a long time with this show -- actually looking forward to next week's episode!
SPOILERS
Keeping it simple, the show featured 3 "buddy pairs" to focus on: Peter and Angela Petrelli, Claire and Nathan, and in the pairing of the season Sylar and Danko.
Angela and Peter go to a church. Angela has not been able to sleep, so her precognitive dreams have not been manifesting, and she thinks being inside the church will help her. She finally did sleep at the end of the episode and now knows what to do. "We need to get this family together," she says. "And we need to visit my sister." Hmmm...
Claire and Nathan fly to Mexico, and try to get money in a drinking game. Some character drama with Claire and Nathan's father-daughter relationship -- which surprisingly did not suck in my opinion. I am again rooting for these characters -- something I have not been feeling in a long time.
Finally, Sylar and Danko. Now that is a formidable duo. Danko's character opened up in this episode -- he is no longer the one dimensional bounty hunter he was originally portrayed as. He was shown to be imperfect, doubting his own abilities to get his job done, etc. And then he gives in to Sylar's offer to help him catch a shapeshifter.
Sylar and Danko track the shapeshifter in a nightclub. After transforming himself into Sylar, the shapeshifter gets shot by Danko. This was a great scene. You did not know who was the shapeshifter really until Danko fired first. Afterwards, Sylar takes the shapeshifting power with the shapeshifter still looking like him. However, he does not slice his head open.
In the next scene, Danko shows HRG a body bag with the shapeshifter Sylar with a knife behind his head.
Yes. Now that is the kind of story we want to see. HRG who we are rooting for in a total disadvantage vs. the "evil guys" Sylar/Danko.
Next week: Angela reveals "how it all began".
