Heroes - Dying of the Light

Heroes

Heroes

The recent developments on Heroes worries me. This was not one of the better episodes this season, although we did get some new plot twists.

Note to the new writers who are handling Heroes: never have the main storyline be Claire, then spend more nothingness in the stories of Hiro and Parkman. It's very annoying.

SPOILERS

Adam is dead. Killed by Papa Petrelli whose power is to take away someone's power permanently via touch.

Ando is not dead. Hiro is an idiot.

Claire manages to defeat the puppet man, after a round of Russian roulette with her 2 "mothers". She still hates HRG.

Daphne, the girl with superspeed, joins Parkman in the worst plot ever -- where after 6 episodes -- still nothing happens.

Mohinder... is evil. I'm very sad. He has these funny things growing on his skin. He tries to trap Nathan and Tracy. Tracy tries to escape with her awesome ice power. She frees Nathan. Mohinder says: "This is not over yet." Cliffhanger.

Sylar frees Peter. They fight. Sylar and Peter go see their mother. They fight. Peter puts Sylar in a medically induced coma. Peter goes after his father. Peter: "Dad? How is this possible? You're dead." Papa Petrelli gives Peter a hug. He takes away Peter's powers. Everything. I'm depressed.

So Heroes has turned into a bitter divorce between Angela Petrelli and Papa Petrelli, and their children, Peter, Sylar and Nathan are in the center of it all. The trailer for next episode: You Can't Choose Your Family, But You Can Choose A Side. Oy.

Peter's power-loss is a nice "reset" switch. I think that when he regains his abilities, it will only be his original ability which is to copy powers via proximity. But he has to "start again from scratch". This is good so he doesn't have Sylar's awful hunger anymore. Just my theory.
