Heroes - Chapter 18 - Parasite

SPOILERS -- will contain details about tonight's show

Although I would consider last week's episode Company Man the best episode this series has produced, tonight's episode is not a slacker. In fact, every single scene tonight promises non-stop action -- you will be left at the edge of your seat. I liked Company Man because it had that pull at your heartsrings at the end, but Parasite, is just storytelling running at lightspeed. Plot twists galore, and it won't let up until you see 'To Be Continued...' Multiple big reveals in the middle and at the end will just blow your mind.

I found out last week that Heroes is shown in Canada on Sunday -- see? the universe has a way of course correcting, you may not be able to vote for American Idol, but you get Heroes a day ahead of us here in the States. And because I'm such a fanboy, I downloaded the first torrents I could find. Thank you Canada!

This is actually better for me since I can give Prison Break a bit more TLC, and not be in a total frenzy when Heroes is on. Again, don't want to spoil anyone's fun, just read the rest of the entry after the show tonight okay? For the masochists, read on! It's going to torture you.

Milo Ventimiglia is DOUBLE HOT!

Heroes begins with Hiro Nakumura narrating "previously on Heroes" in Japanese with Japanese titles -- now how friggin' cool is that??? This show really loves us!

Update: The Canadian and American openings are different!

New York: After the recap scenes, we continue with Peter, Isaac and the now dead Simone. After Peter puts Simone on a bed, Isaac continues to be an idiot and tries to shoot Peter. Peter turns invisible and runs away.

Las Vegas: Hiro is trying to get to the curator of Mr. Linderman but the guards don't let him.

Odessa: We follow where we left off last week with HRG now being interrogated by Eric Roberts in the paper factory. Yup, HRG has lost his memory, but the powers that be do not trust him. Poor HRG, his wings have been clipped! Det. Matt Parkman has been enlisted to scan HRG's mind and he says he is telling the truth. It seems that he has made a deal with Eric Roberts, but they won't let Matt go just yet. Yup Matt's an idiot, but I think he will somehow redeem himself in the the future, and it seems that he's in deeper shit than he realizes.

Route 290: Hot Haitian and Claire in a car discussing Claire's future. After Haitian Hottie speaks to someone on the payphone in French, he tells Claire: We're leaving the country tonight (to Canada!)

-- break --

New York: FBI agents visit Nathan Petrelli. They threaten him a little bit, but after making sure there are no bugs in the room, we discover that Nathan has been working with the FBI to bring down Mr. Linderman. They now want him to go to Vegas to meet Mr. Linderman and be wired to gather incriminating evidence. Agents leave, Peter appears in the room. Tells Nathan about Simone, Nathan suggests Peter seek out Mohinder for help with his condition. Peter slips away when Nathan is not looking.

Odessa: HRG and HRGW (wife) in a hotel room. HRGW's cellphone rings with a doggy ringtone. HRG tells HRGW that he is going to look for Claire. She then reveals that she is just acting that she has lost her memory -- yes! -- one of HRG's failsafes. She also shows him a message in his handwriting not to go after Claire. However, the new agent Candice shows up and tells HRG that they need to clean up the mess that Isaac made in New York. HRG is apprehensive at first, but follows. Candice tells HRGW: "I like your hair."

New York: Sylar continues to pressure Mohinder about "the list" in Mohinder's apartment. Mohinder is his usual friendly self and then offers Sylar some chai. Sylar asks: "Who are you looking for?" And then boom! Mohinder says: "No one. I already have you, Mr. Sylar!" OMG! Sylar passes out from the laced chai. Hahaha.

Las Vegas: Nathan somehow finds Hiro waiting in the lobby. "Mr. Flying Man!" Hiro says. They have a conversation about Hiro sending Ando away, and then Nathan offers to help Hiro with security. Hiro goes to the curator.

Airport: His Haitian Hotness and Claire are on their way to Canada. Claire suggest that they should go to Nathan Peter but Haitian disagrees. Claire passes through security, but when Haitian is checked, he no longer has his passport, Claire escapes!

New York: Isaac is paid a visit by the police looking for Simone. They are about to look around, when Simone suddenly appears at the door! What? Police leave and the HRG shows up. "My, you are useful." And then Candice turns back into Candice after taking Simone's form. OMG! Mystique! Candice mocks Isaac. HRG says a crew will clean up the mess.

Las Vegas: Micah and Jessica Sanders are playing PS3. DL discovers that Nikki/Jessica is on a hit job to get Nathan Petrelli. Jessica lies, but DL isn't buying it. It seems that Nikki is gaining some control now, by dropping hints when Jessica is not aware.

New York: Mohinder interrogates Sylar! Wow. Mohinder with some balls for once -- and he is so angry! Tortures Sylar with a tuning fork. Hahaha. Sylar mocks Mohinder. Mohinder takes out a gun and points it on Sylar's forehead. Mohinder then gets some fluid from Sylar's spinal chord. Sylar screams!

Las Vegas: Hiro arrives at the curator's office full of Isaac Mendez's paintings. Hiro gives the painting he was supposed to deliver. Curator leaves to get receipt and Hiro looks for the sword of Kensei. (Very blatant DELL product placement here, of many actually) Hiro attempts to get it, but of course is caught and security is called. Security comes in the form of Ando! Yes! Can this series get any better? And then the real guards come, and Hiro and Ando barricade themselves.

Las Vegas: Jessica kills the FBI agents working with Nathan. "It's so much easier working with professionals" she says.

New York: Mohinder discovers something with the spinal fluid. Sylar mocks Mohinder again, asks for the list. Mohinder points the gun at Sylar again and shoots! But the bullet is stopped by Sylar telekenisis. Sylar unleashes his fury on Mohinder. OMG! Noooooo! One of the scariest scenes ever.

-- break --

New York: Isaac decides to take the drugs again and paints. More decapitated heads and death. I don't know who these are, but looks like Isaac drew himself.

Las Vegas: Nikki Sanders, now in control, finds Nathan and warns him about Mr. Linderman and Jessica. And tells him the FBI agents are dead.

Odessa: HRG is back with his wife. They talk about Claire, and HRG reveals his intentions about stopping the company. Phone rings, but it is no longer the dog ringtone! Candice shapeshifts back to herself from HRGW and Eric Roberts comes in. Oh no! HRG is busted! What will happen now? Methinks the scenes with Matt and HRG in the paper factory will be interesting. They still don't know that Matt is in on the conspiracy to hide Claire so once again our idiot detective will be the key.

Las Vegas: The guards bust into the curator's office and Hiro teleports himself and Ando ... into the future, in New York in Isaac's terrace! The bomb has already exploded -- and there is new construction. These future scenes I think will be great.

New York: Claire arrives at Peter Petrelli's apartment. His mother answers the door, and says: "You picked a terrible time to do that (look for Peter), Peter's not here. You might as well come inside CLAIRE." She knew her name! Claire walks in, and the lady starts talking in French -- to the Haitian Hotness himself! She tells Claire that she's her grandmother, and that she's been trying to protect Claire but that she is stubborn like her father Nathan. This has got to be the biggest reveal of this series! Unbelievable! We're all pawns, and the real players are all these supporting characters. Hiro's father, Nathan's mother, Mr. Linderman -- they must be having some invisible war or something. Awesome.

Las Vegas: Nathan knocks Nikki at her behest and takes her gun to arm himself against Mr. Linderman. Nathan meets him in the restaurant kitchen. He confronts Mr. Linderman, and raises the gun at him, but Mr. Linderman says something about knowing all Nathan's secrets such as his flight ability, Peter's problems and even Claire his daughter. He tells Nathan that he can make him win the election and in two years make him a heartbeat away from being President. What? Anyway, this goblygook is enough to stop Nathan from killing him. Scene ends.

New York: Peter arrives at Mohinder's apartment. It is dark. He walks in. Blood drips on Peter's head. He looks up. It's a bloodied Mohinder pinned to the ceiling by Sylar's telekenisis! Mohinder: "Sylar!" Peter turns around. Sylar grabs him by the neck. "I remember you. You're like me aren't you? I want to see how that works." Sylar slices Peter's skull, and Peter screams. The sound is one of the most agonizing things you'll ever hear. Blood and a piece of Peter's locks fall on the floor.
