Heroes - An Invisible Thread

It's the season finale of Heroes... and what the hell just happened?
This was probably the best episode of "Villains", but I was unsure about the ending.
SPOILERS
Cutting to the chase, there is a stand-off between Sylar, Nathan and Peter. Peter touches Sylar (off-screen) which enables him to take all his powers -- but Sylar and Nathan fly out the window. Claire comes in, and she and Peter go downstairs.
Sylar throws Nathan back into the room. Then slits his throat. Nathan is dead!
Angela Petrelli picks up Matt Parkman in the bus stop because in her dream, it was Parkman who saves Nathan.
Sylar transforms himself into Nathan to go after the president. The president is being evacuated underground -- Sylar as Nathan, then as the Chief of Staff follow the president into the limo. Sylar shakes the president's hand, then gets injected with a tranquilizer -- it turns out that the president was Peter after all.
And then the controversial mind-switch procedure! Actually, Nathan is still dead, there was no mind-switch. But Sylar absorbed a lot of Nathan's memories if not all. So Matt Parkman is assigned to erase all of Sylar's Sylar memories and just leave Nathan. Sylar wakes up shapeshifted as Nathan.
The doppleganger Sylar, the shapeshifter Sylar originally stole that power from, is burned.
It is not really clear, but I think only the people in the room: Noah, Angela and Parkman know that Nathan is really Sylar.
What an interesting turn of events!
Nathan is dead.
And Sylar is now Nathan... except he can tell if clocks are running a minute and half fast! -- that's Sylar's power. Uh-oh. It's like Frankenstein waiting to be unleashed.
Also in Volume Five 'Redemption' -- Tracy Strauss is now a villain drowning people in her liquified form.
Wow. Nathan is dead. I can't believe it.

Some thoughts:
Well, hopefully Parkman never comes back next season, out of guilt for what he did. He can guest-star if he wants for one episode.
Angela Petrelli is crazy! And Noah is her bitch. For her to lobotomize Sylar to keep Nathan "alive" -- and then to act like it is really him is so twisted. Give me a few days to grapple with the morality of it all, it's too much. LOL It's not even cloning, per se. Or stem cells. It's like taking the body of another person. Ugh, so wrong.
Peter... your family's nuts! Waaaaaa...
Maybe they should just end it on that note.
