Here's What Netflix Is Removing In December 2014

Another month, another list of potentially controversial Netflix removals, as the streaming service must once again decide which movies are worth renewing their rights to keep, and which movies should be axed to make room for more notable additions.

Among the movies leaving this month are the iconic film noir classic Double Indemnity, Best Picture winner The King's Speech, Robert Downey Jr.'s Oscar-nominated Chaplin, and 80s favorite Dirty Dancing. On the plus side, however, Netflix will be adding a slew of interesting new arrivals, including Best Picture nominee The Wolf of Wall Street, Best Picture winner American Beauty, coming-of-age classic Almost Famous, and TV shows such as American Horror Story: Coven and the first season of the terrific Broadchurch. Overall, it's a mixture of good news and bad news, as it is seemingly every month when you're a Netflix subscriber.
