Hell’s Kitchen - Season 10 Episode 7 - Recap - 13 Chefs Compete, Part 2
Tonight’s episode featured the first ever Fashion Night at Hell’s Kitchen; it included a successful dinner service and three catwalks (one for Designer Ina Soltani’s collection, one for Designer Amanda Che’s collection, and one for Designer David Meister’s collection). In the previous episode, it seemed like Clemenza was about to be kicked out of the kitchen for wasting 4 portions of scallops before opening hours... but it wasn’t as dramatic as it appeared. It was just clever editing. Also, Red Team members Kimmie and Robyn rekindled their friendship tonight. If you missed Episode 6, you can read my recap here.
Appetizer Service:
1st Segment of Fashion Show: The first catwalk featured Designer Ina Soltani’s “Ready-to-Wear” collection. The models dressed accordingly. Assigned Waiters:- Red Team: Kimmie
- Blue Team: Royce
Dinner Service:
2nd Segment of Fashion Show: The second catwalk featured Designer Amanda Che’s “Swimwear” collection. The models dressed accordingly. Assigned “Designated Platers” (they put food on dishes instead of cooking):- Red Team: Kimmie
- Blue Team: Royce
After the Dinner Service:
3rd Segment of Fashion Show: The third catwalk featured Designer David Meister’s “Evening Wear” collection. The models dressed accordingly. The Red Team had a small misunderstanding. Since Robyn and Kimmie made up in this episode, Robyn picked a fight with another teammate: Christina. During the appetizer service, Dana and Christina were about to finish serving appetizers... until Robyn interrupted them. Robyn didn’t have anything else to do so she tried to help Dana and Christina with the final appetizers. Christina said she didn’t need Robyn’s help because they were almost done with the appetizers... so Robyn took this personally. Robyn is a drama queen; whereas, Christina doesn’t like drama at all.
The Blue team also had a misunderstanding. Chef Ramsay asked the Blue Team to only cook 7 swordfish, but Clemenza cooked 18 swordfish (wasting 11 of them). Before Clemenza cooked the swordfish, Royce asked Clemenza to serve “16 + 1” swordfish. This error was due to Royce’s misunderstanding of Ramsay’s instructions and Clemenza’s miscalculation. I still don’t understand how Clemenza came up with 18 swordfish, but not 17. Clearly, 16 + 1 = 17. Ha ha. Also, I don’t understand why Royce said “16 + 1” instead of plain, old “17”.
The Blue Team are now 4 for 6 in dinner services. The Red Team, however, are 3 for 6.
Result: Tonight’s losing team was the Blue Team. They nominated Clemenza and Guy for elimination. Chef Ramsay eliminated Guy.

Guy’s elimination wasn’t shocking. He can improve with more culinary experience under his belt. Clearly, Clemenza is the more passionate chef of the two. Chef Ramsay told Clemenza, “You have passion. Use it.”
The other Blue Team members wanted Clemenza to leave tonight. I think they just want Clemenza out of their sights because he’s a threat. I think it’s all part of their game strategy: To kick out one of their strongest teammates so that they can have a better chance at winning the $250,000 grand prize.Chef Ramsay’s Quote of the Night:
“You don’t go over to the Blue Kitchen and get what you want. It’s a competition, you silly cow.” - Chef Ramsay yelling at Robyn because she wanted to go over to the Blue Kitchen to grab some of their beef (since she overcooked the last of her beef).12 chefs remain. The next episode airs Tuesday, 6/26, at 8pm ET.
