Challenge of the Day:
Ramsay revealed a Hell’s Kitchen version of the Vegas game, “Craps.” Each contestant rolled a single die (which had letters on it)... then called out an ingredient that begun with that letter. For example, if the die landed on the letter, “A,” the contestant would call out “Apple” or “Asparagus.” It was critical for the contestants to call out complimentary ingredients so that they could prepare one overall dish (for their respective teams).Breakdown of Ingredients:
Red Team:- Tiffany rolled a “C” for Chickery
- Barbie rolled an “L” for Lamb
- Kimmie rolled a “T” for Turnips
- Dana rolled a “B” for Brussel Sprouts
- Christina rolled a “T” for Truffles
- Clemenza rolled an “H” for Heirloom Tomatoes
- Justin rolled a “D” for Daikon White Radish
- Robyn rolled a “D” for Dragon Fruit
- Brian rolled an “E” for Edamame
- Royce rolled a “C” for Chicken
The Blue Team members are: Royce, Justin, Brian, Clemenza, Robyn. Blue Team member Brian fell in love with Robyn’s dragon fruit. It was my first time seeing and hearing about dragon fruit, so I thought it was exquisite-looking. They decided to create a Dragon Fruit - Daikon Sushi Roll and some Edamame Puree (which Chef Ramsay enjoyed); unfortunately, Royce overcooked his chicken. Chef Ramsay thoroughly enjoyed the Blue Team’s dish albeit Royce’s overcooked chicken. They won the challenge.
Result: The Blue Team won. Their reward was a 24-hour stay at the Paris hotel—which is located right above the Gordon Ramsay Steak House restaurant—in Las Vegas, NV. They also met a famous comedian: Carrot Top. Side Note: The Red Team’s punishment was to stay up all night to grill a pig. Tiffany fell in love with the pig... it was a bit creepy. There was one scene in which she muttered under her breath, “Little pat in the ass right there,” as she continued to pat the pork on its butt.
The Blue Team are now 4 for 9 in challenges. The Red Team, however, are 5 for 9.Tonight’s Dinner Service:
Special VIP Guests: David Beckham, Lee Dewyze, and Haley Reinhart were invited to tonight’s dinner service. The Red Team were in charge of serving food to a Professional Soccer Sensation: David Beckham. While the Red Team cooked David Beckham and his son a flatbread pizza, they fumbled a little bit. That didn’t surprise at all. If I was within walking distance of David Beckham, I probably would’ve dropped my pizza. That man is s-e-x-y. He is hot! The Red Team eventually served Beckham a flatbread pizza, and he and his son enjoyed it! Tiffany cooked the scallops well; however, she had a mix-up on the fish station. Chef Ramsay scolded her because she couldn’t tell the difference between cod fish and sea bass fish. Also, Barbie perfectly cooked the pork and wellington. They completed their dinner service.

The Blue Team were in charge of serving food to American Idols: Season 9 Winner, Lee DeWyze and Season 10 Finalist, Haley Reinhart. Aside from Robyn, the rest of the Blue Team had a tough time tonight. Clemenza handed Chef Ramsay raw scallops, Royce handed Chef Ramsay overcooked pork and poorly-cooked wellington, and Brian didn’t cook the flatbread well. This episode didn’t highlight where Justin went wrong; however, he did get in trouble. Chef Ramsay called Justin, Brian, Clemenza, and Royce into the back-room. He told them to get their acts together, and to come back into the Blue Kitchen when they’re ready. Robyn was left alone in the Blue Kitchen... Haley Reinhart and Lee DeWyze started laughing at her because she was so frantic. Robyn described herself as a “deer caught in the headlights” during that scene. The four men eventually came back into the kitchen... but they weren’t ready. They didn’t serve any entrees tonight. Chef Ramsay asked the Red Team to come over to the Blue Kitchen instead. The Red Team finished all of the Blue Team’s orders.

The Blue Team are now 4 for 9 in dinner services. The Red Team, however, are ahead with a score of 5 for 9.
For a minute there, I thought Chef Ramsay was about to eliminate both Royce and Clemenza. Clemenza survived though. I’m happy for him. I think he’s a good guy, but I don’t think he will win because he has made numerous mistakes so far in the competition.Chef Ramsay’s Analogies of the Night:
“It’s like a doorstop.” - Chef Ramsay referring to Royce’s overcooked pork from the dinner service.“Your jacket’s undone, [and] you’re cooking like a donkey!” - Chef Ramsay referring to Clemenza’s underwhelming performance from the dinner service.
“You’re like a pig rolling around in your s*** all day long.” - Chef Ramsay referring to Clemenza’s dirty jacket. (Clemenza had tons of food particles splattered on his jacket.)
“His service was like a broken down car. It’s time to send Royce to the Junkyard.” - Chef Ramsay referring to Royce’s elimination.
9 chefs remain. The next episode airs Monday, 7/16, at 8pm ET.
