Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter Split After 13 Years

After 13 years, it's the end for Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter.

The couple has reportedly split after 13 years together, having met in 2001 while filming Planet of the Apes. Although never married, the couple has two children, 11-year-old Billy and 7-year-old Nell.

"Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children," representatives for both Burton and Carter confirm. "We would ask that you respect their privacy and that of their children during this time."

Of course, this could very well mean the end of their professional relationship as well, as they've found success as an actor-director pair. Burton and Carter have teamed up together for Big Fish (2003), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Dark Shadows (2012). At the very least, I suppose it's fortunate they have no future movies planned together (although Burton is on-board the upcoming Alice In Wonderland sequel as a producer). That said, their partnership has produced at least two legitimately fantastic films (I'll leave it to you to guess which two, although taste is subjective, I suppose).

Regardless of what comes next, we wish them all the best.
